Paint Chemical Technician

About the Role:

F&P Mfg. Inc. is a leading Tier 1 Automotive Parts Manufacturer seeking a skilled Paint Chemical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the paint system, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of our paint equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diversified duties to repair and maintain paint system equipment
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective parts, test and make adjustments to automated production equipment
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on paint and waste water equipment
  • Perform titration testing and other procedures using centrifugal, diaphragm, and chemical metering pumps
  • Use a variety of hands and power tools
  • Perform general clean-up, organization of work area, and embrace 5S activities

Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Science/Chemistry or equivalent work experience
  • Follows all safety requirements of the company, including PPE, safe job behaviors, etc.
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Regularly required to lift up to 30lbs
  • Able to read and understand operation standards, blueprints, maintenance, and equipment manuals

Work Environment:

  • Office & Plant Environment
  • May be exposed to dust, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Regularly required to work at heights and in confined spaces
