Operational Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Operational Support Specialist to join our team in Grimsby, Ontario. In this role, you will provide clerical and administrative support for various operational areas, including linehaul, quality assurance, and customer service.
About the Role- Provide clerical support to management and operational functions, including photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, and answering telephone calls.
- Review, research, and enter data into various systems to support functional areas.
- Compile data and provide regular and ad-hoc reports to management for review.
You will be responsible for:
- Serving as frontline customer service, receiving, solving, and escalating customer inquiries and issues.
- Assisting management with Business Control Self Assessment (BCSA) audit activity by retrieving data and/or files for review.
- Prioritizing workflow to maximize the number of packages that can be resolved and sent out for delivery in the same day.
- Ensuring all packages receive appropriate scan statuses and inspecting and handling hazardous material damages as per policy.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Four years of customer service, clerical, or related experience, preferably in a dock operations environment or distribution center setting.
- Strong business skills, including typing, data entry, and review, as well as use of phone, copier, and fax.
- Software skills, including Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
- Customer service skills necessary to effectively and professionally respond to requests.
