As a key member of the Citi Services Technology team, the Senior Data Engineering Manager will oversee all Core Banking transformation initiatives across Information Management. This senior leader will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all initiatives, including CCB Migration, LATAM, and US transformation. The individual will manage the development and implementation of all end-to-end data pipelines across Vanguard, GBS, and GIW for CCB, LATAM, and UST. Additionally, they will own the implementation of data standards and integration of data across multiple applications for the Core Banking domain to support Core Banking Transformation projects. The position requires an experienced individual who is equal parts Problem Solver and Execution Driver. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have an aptitude for understanding complex technology ecosystems.
  • Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team.
  • Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management, and planning while monitoring end results.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards.
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals.
  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions and communicate with external parties as necessary.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made and demonstrate consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in applications development.
  • Experience in management.
  • Experience managing global technology teams.
  • Working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Additional Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of the DDA system and the financial domain.
  • Good understanding of various Big Data technology skills, including Hadoop, Kafka, OpenShift, and Spark.
  • Strong data SME who has worked on large-scale data projects and is hands-on with data analysis and repository.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
