About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Qualicare Home Care Kamloops. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist with toileting, transferring, and positioning patients.
  • Support with Medication Management: Assist patients with taking their medications as prescribed.
  • Assist with Mobility and Transfers: Help patients with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure patients' living areas are safe and free from hazards.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Physical stamina, attention to detail, client focus, dependability, and a team player attitude.
