We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Physician to join our Cardiology team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in patient rounds and assessments under the supervision of the Cardiology Attending.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in consultation with the Attending staff.
- Perform and document admission history and physical examinations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medication reconciliation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
- Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist.
- Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) in the Associate Physician class.
- Demonstrates leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework.
- Professional/Technical Capabilities: Diagnoses and manages common medical problems, such as Acute Coronary Syndrome, Heart Failure, and common dysrhythmias.
- Confidence and experience in recognizing and initiating response to emergency situations.
- Ability to recognize medical instability and address initial priorities of undifferentiated shock.
