Physician Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Associate to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Palliative Medicine Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team in delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in patient rounds and assessments, working closely with Attending staff and other care team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Conduct admission history and physical examinations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medication reconciliation as per CPSBC and organizational standards.
- Develop treatment plans in response to changing patient conditions, collaborating with Attending staff and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
- Medical degree from a recognized institution and minimum two years of postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist.
- Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
- Eligibility for registration with the CPSBC in the Associate Physician class, under sponsorship by Fraser Health.
- Valid Canadian Citizenship, permanent residency, or the ability to live and work in British Columbia.
- Demonstrated leadership practices, including clear, caring, and courageous leadership.
- Professional/Technical Capabilities: ability to diagnose and manage common medical problems, including pain, nausea, shortness of breath, and complex family dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
