Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our team at RhynoCare in the Coniston area. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary, travel compensation, and accommodation.

About the Role

As an RPN with RhynoCare, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to residents in long-term and acute care facilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
  • Utilizing sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care delivery.
  • Ensuring timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Maintaining control and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on assigned shifts.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with individuals with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for MMRV and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shift times, including eight- or twelve-hour rotations.
  • Ability to 'float' between units within a hospital, depending on facility needs.
  • Reliability to be placed at agreed-upon facilities/units.
  • Compliance with RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
