About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bakery Team Member to join our team at Mix The Bakery. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure high-quality products and excellent customer service.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances and ensure that all products are presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Bake shop or coffee shop environment.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
  • Food Specialties: Breads and rolls, desserts and pastries, donuts and muffins, cake decorating.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
