Chief Financial Officer

Venor partners with Nova Construction to find a skilled Chief Financial Officer to drive the company's financial growth and success.



Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting

  • Prepare, review, and present financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and GAAP.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.


Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets to guide the company's operations.
  • Provide actionable insights for decision-making and long-term planning.


Tax Planning, Compliance, and Preparation

  • Oversee tax return preparation and filing.
  • Implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and ensure compliance.


Risk Management

  • Identify and assess financial risks.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and safeguard the company's financial health.


Treasury Management

  • Manage cash flow and liquidity.
  • Ensure adequate funds for operating expenses and capital expenditures.


Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop strategic initiatives.
  • Align financial goals with overall business objectives.


Corporate Governance

  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in financial practices.


Leadership and Team Development

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, analysis, and GAAP compliance.
  • Proven track record in entrepreneurial or high-growth companies.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • CPA designation and/or MBA preferred.
