Seeking an experienced Senior Culinary Team Leader to join our team at The Fox and Fiddle On John. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our customers.

About the Role

We are looking for someone with a strong background in culinary arts, preferably with 3 years or more of experience in a similar role. Your expertise will be invaluable in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality control.

A competitive salary is offered for this position, ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with approximately 35-40 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the kitchen staff
  • Supervise specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
  • Instruct cooks in meal preparation, cooking, presentation, and garnishing
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Safe Food Handling certification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate the team
