Job Title: Executive Chef

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at OB&O Afro-Caribbean Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing food preparation, inventory, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus, ensuring high-quality dishes and efficient food preparation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and specialist chefs.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role.
  • Proven track record of menu development, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with knowledge of African and Caribbean cuisine.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
