We are seeking a skilled Care Specialist to join our team at Sidhu Family. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with others and making a positive impact in their lives.
About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for providing home support to individuals in need. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional care services, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of attention and support.
This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You must also possess excellent problem-solving skills, as you will encounter various challenges while working with diverse client needs.
You will be based at the physical location of the clients, which means you will not have the option to work remotely. Therefore, it's essential that you live near or can easily commute to the area.
Work Site EnvironmentThe work site environment is an essential aspect of this role. As a Care Specialist, you will be interacting with clients and colleagues daily, so it's crucial that you feel comfortable in a fast-paced setting.
Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to: maintaining confidentiality, reporting incidents or concerns to management, documenting interactions with clients, and participating in regular team meetings to discuss best practices and any issues arising from the job.
This role involves tasks such as supporting daily living activities, assisting with personal care, and ensuring clients' overall well-being. It's vital that you are passionate about helping others and willing to adapt to changing situations.
Area of Work ExperienceThis role is suitable for individuals with prior experience in care-related fields. You should have knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation governing the industry. Additionally, you should be familiar with documentation requirements and be able to maintain accurate records.
A good understanding of security protocols, safety guidelines, and basic first aid techniques is also necessary. Furthermore, you should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varying client needs and preferences.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a care-related setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be willing to undergo background checks and police clearance.
