Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, System Integrity to lead and oversee the System Integrity team at Fortis Energy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving asset integrity management activities to ensure alignment with our goals and industry regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Identify current areas of opportunity with our current asset integrity management activities and develop solutions for improvement.
  • Fiscal Management: Maintain fiscal responsibility by managing the System Integrity Operations and Maintenance budgets within the provided guidelines and targets.
  • Leadership and Development: Take the lead on developing short- and long-term plans to align with corporate strategic objectives while acknowledging the changing energy environment for all the System Integrity programs. You will also mentor team members to assess the short and long-term resources and ongoing technical capabilities of the department to meet requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and strengthen relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, as you provide organizational strategic objectives and future direction in alignment with other business areas.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university, plus a minimum of eight to 12 years of recent and related experience within a regulated utility environment.
  • Registered with or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
  • An equivalent combination of education, related training, and experience may be considered.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead a culture change and manage teams through a forward-thinking approach.
  • A strong business acumen with the ability to adapt business plans and risk tolerance into departmental goals and plans.
