This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering a high-quality shopping experience. As a Meat Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Department Manager in achieving store and department goals
  • Providing superior customer service and support
  • Developing and maintaining a high-performing team through training, coaching, and recognition
  • Effectively communicating and supporting the team with product knowledge, corporate policies, and procedures
  • Serving customers, merchandising, rotation, breaks, and general department cleanliness
  • Supporting office management, including inventory, orders, invoices, scheduling, and payroll
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • A clear and effective communication style, both written and oral
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities
  • The ability to learn manual and automated systems/tools
  • The flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain priorities
Work Environment

As a Meat Department Supervisor at Farm Boy Inc., you can expect to work in a dynamic retail environment with a variety of tasks and responsibilities. This includes:

  • Providing service to several people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines
  • Standing and walking for long periods during your shift
  • Lifting, carrying, or handling heavy objects
