Farm Supervisor Job Description

Canadian Farms Produce Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm, ensuring the highest quality crops are produced while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
  • Maintain financial and production records
  • Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
  • Maintain work records and logs
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The work site environment includes other miscellaneous crop farming, potato and vegetable farming, and rural areas with staff accommodation available.

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in farm operations or a related field
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Excellent oral communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, and combination of sitting and standing
