Cybersecurity Expert for IT Asset Protection

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at American Iron & Metal Co. in Montreal-East, Quebec. As a Cybersecurity Expert for IT Asset Protection, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing robust cybersecurity solutions to safeguard our company's IT assets.

Responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity Solution Design and Implementation: Develop and deploy strategies and tools to secure the company's IT assets.
  • Vulnerability Scanning: Identify, analyze, and manage vulnerabilities in the company's IT infrastructure using specialized tools (Qualys, Fortinet Analyzer, etc.). Perform regular scans and take corrective actions by collaborating with the Infrastructure teams to support the resolution.
  • Cyber Security Tool Management: Manage and optimize the use of various cyber security tools included in the information security management system.
  • Definition of Infrastructure Security Procedures: Establish and maintain security procedures for the infrastructure, including system and network best practices.
  • Participate in SecOps Activities: Improve security posture through continuous monitoring, incident management, and rapid response.
Requirements
  • Degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • In-depth expertise in vulnerability scanning and patch management tools, Penetration Testing, as well as information security management systems.
  • Technical knowledge: Azure, VMWare, Windows Servers, Office365, Active Directory, GPO, SentinelOne, Delinea, Qualys, Forescout, Linux, Kali, PowerShell, Shellscript, Fortinet FW, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSiem.
  • A certification such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ is highly recommended.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make recommendations based on analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure and security teams.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 CAD, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package, including group insurance, RRSP program, company-wide events, free gym on site, two cafeterias on site with subsidized meal program available, dynamic and rewarding work environment, and a hybrid work arrangement requiring 2-3 days per week in our Montreal-East office.
