At DSV, we are seeking an experienced Transportation Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and developing assigned accounts across North America.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in transportation/logistics/distribution, with a strong background in account management. A college diploma or university degree in business, logistics, or international trade is preferred. CIFFA certification and Dangerous Goods Certification are assets.
About You
As a Transportation Account Manager at DSV, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding customer requirements at every stage of the order fulfillment process. This includes analyzing booking information, coordinating freight flow, and ensuring timely resolution of customer inquiries and concerns. You will also develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for your assigned accounts and ensure cross-training of colleagues. Additionally, you will effectively negotiate rates and terms with carriers and customers, and communicate with carriers to monitor freight movement. Your excellent organizational and time management skills will enable you to prioritize tasks and meet goals and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.You will work closely with colleagues to plan and execute customer requirements, including training and outsourcing functions to colleagues. You will also assist as needed with pricing internal and external business, and maintain accurate records in Real-time in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
A successful Transportation Account Manager at DSV will possess a strong service-oriented mindset, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. You will be able to create collaborative engagements, active listening, and build professional relationships internally and externally. A good command of both verbal and written English skills is required, with additional languages being an asset in other locations. Microsoft Office suite proficiency and working knowledge of transportation management software, such as Load Link, PC Miler, etc., would be an asset.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, based on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
