Pharmacy Technician

Job SummaryAs a Registered Pharmacy Technician at CareRx, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of prescriptions. You will work under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager to maintain compliance with provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately and safely.
- Complete daily pharmacy dispensing tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
- Consult with the pharmacy management team on unresolved issues.
- Communicate effectively with the resident care team to maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer care.
- Maintain accurate and organized resident health records.
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
- Participate in training and support for new and existing pharmacy team members.
- Prepare and compound medications as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related program.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
- Proficiency in eMAR software an asset.
- Experience with Kroll strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work demands.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage workflow and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
CareRx offers a competitive hourly rate of $30-$34, with actual pay based on individual credentials and experience. We provide a supportive team environment and opportunities for growth and development.
