Electrical Sales Representative

As an Electrical Sales Representative with Spark Power Corp, you will be responsible for leading the selling efforts of our technical services into industrial and commercial markets. This is a hands-on position that involves extensive face-to-face interaction with existing customers and new customer prospects.
In this role, you will be responsible for estimating project scope and negotiating contracts, which may include electrical components, wiring methods, safety protective devices, and VFDs. You will also demonstrate strong technical understanding of electrical installations, safety standards, and industrial manufacturing equipment to potential customers.
You will be accountable for meeting and/or exceeding aggregate annual segment sales targets through new customer acquisition activities and retention of current customers. This includes identifying strategic customer accounts/prospects, developing annual sales account plans, securing opportunities to quote on customer requirements, and providing sales leadership in negotiations and closing major project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of electrical installations, safety, standards, and industrial manufacturing equipment to potential customers.
- Meet and/or exceed aggregate annual segment sales target through new customer acquisition activities and retention of current customers.
- Identify strategic customer accounts/prospects and develop annual sales account plans.
- Secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements including responding to inbound requests for proposal and request for information activities through networking, cold calling, and monitoring customer/prospect procurement activities.
- Provide sales leadership in the negotiation and closing of major project opportunities working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and pricing with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that meet both parties' objectives.

Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related industrial experience as an Electrician, Technologist, or Electrical Project Manager and/or training in business-to-business sales, with a proven track record of successfully negotiating and securing contracts.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation required.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to meet with customers and attend industry events.
- Strong understanding of contract terms, conditions, and legal implications.
- Full understanding of the commercial and/or industrial sales process and dynamics.
