Sprinkler and Fire Protection Technician

Job Summary:

Imperial Fire & Safety INC. seeks a skilled Sprinkler and Fire Protection Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sprinkler systems and fire protection equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment.
  • Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems and equipment.
  • Install valves, alarms, and associated equipment.
  • Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment.
  • Service and repair sprinkler systems.
  • Test systems for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment.
  • Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines.
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping systems.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Available for shift or on-call work.
  • Available for the advertised start date.
  • Currently legally able to work in Canada.
  • Previous experience in this field of employment is an asset.

Work Environment:

  • Permanent position.
  • 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.

Asset Languages:

  • Mandarin.

  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
