We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at the University Health Network. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
- Work effectively and efficiently within an interdisciplinary patient care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Apply knowledge of nursing science, theory, skill, and critical decision-making to provide high-quality care.
- Ensure practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the University Health Network policy and procedure.
- Participate in continuing education activities to meet the needs of the patient population served and the standards of the profession.
- Perform cross-functional and other responsibilities as assigned and/or requested.
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
- Flexible and able to work effectively and efficiently within an interdisciplinary patient care team.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- BScN degree or equivalent.
- Completion of recognized certified operating room nursing course.
- Member of Perioperative Nurse Association.
