We are seeking a skilled Substation Engineer to join our team at Alamos Gold Inc.'s Young-Davidson mine. In this role, you will design, install, test, and maintain electrical systems in our underground gold mine.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and install new electrical systems to support mine growth and development.
  • Test and commission electrical systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Maintain existing electrical systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce electrical energy consumption and costs.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior electricians on electrical system maintenance.
Requirements
  • Holder of a Provincial Electrician Journeyman Trade Certificate License or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing electrical systems in a mining or industrial setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
