About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our esteemed department, contributing to the growth and development of our students and research community. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in probability and statistics, conducting research, and participating in academic service activities.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Develop and deliver engaging lectures, assignments, and exams for six courses per year, promoting student success and academic excellence.
- Research: Conduct innovative research in probability and statistics, collaborating with colleagues and publishing scholarly articles to advance knowledge in the field.
- Academic Service: Participate in departmental and university-wide committees, contributing to curriculum development, program evaluation, and strategic planning.
To succeed in this role, you must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline. Additionally, you should have a proven track record of teaching at the undergraduate level, with expertise in both official languages (English and French). Research experience, particularly in academia and industry, is highly valued, as well as supervisory experience and participation in multiple research groups.
