We are a public school district serving the five island communities in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia. Our district is known for its unique blend of rural and island living, with a mild climate and stunning natural beauty.

We have ten schools, seven of which are located on Salt Spring Island. Our schools offer a range of programs, including an International Education Program and the Gulf Islands School of Performing Arts.

Job Summary

We are seeking qualified educators to join our team on a temporary basis. As a teacher with School District #64 (Gulf Islands), you will have the opportunity to work with students in a variety of settings and contribute to the development of our district's educational programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of subjects to students in grades K-12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement district-wide programs
