Education Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a Certified Education Assistant (CEA) to support students with diverse abilities in our K-12 education system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with academic, physical, social, and emotional needs under the direction of the Resource Teacher.
- Work collaboratively with the school-based team to provide individualized support and accommodations.
- Modify and prepare teaching materials, compile and update student records, and monitor student behavior.
- Transport and accompany students as described in the IEP(s) and school district Field Trip Policy.
- Assist with lifting, feeding, personal care, and supervision for special needs students as requested by the Principal and/or Resource Teacher.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of Grade 12 and a Certified Education Assistant program.
- Equivalent qualifications will be considered if you have relevant post-secondary education and current working experience supporting children, youth, and adults with diverse abilities and needs.
Benefits:
- 10-month position with a wage rate of $28.81 per hour.
