Education Assistant

We are seeking qualified individuals to join our team as Casual Education Assistants (CEA) and Early Childhood Educators (CEC) for the 2023-2024 school year.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide support to students and teachers in a Catholic school setting, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with children, colleagues, and administration.
Responsibilities- Provide educational support to students in a classroom setting
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation
- Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
- Commitment to Catholic education
- Identification with and participation in the life of a Catholic parish (preferred)
- Training specific to the role (Education Assistant)
- Successful Education Assistant experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use discretion when dealing with confidential matters
- Ability to work well with children, colleagues, and administration
- First Aid Training Certificate
