Registered Practical Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Schlegel Villages. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure residents' needs are met and care plans are updated accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence in resident care.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Current Heart Save Level of CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on resident-centered care.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector.
