About the Role:
The Department Supervisor will serve as a key representative of the company, leading a team of employees to achieve store and company objectives. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a safe and pleasant shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise work activities to ensure alignment with company priorities and requirements
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and improve store appearance
- Manage inventory levels and replenishment processes to meet customer demand
- Develop and implement promotional activities to drive sales and increase customer engagement
- Recruit and train new team members to ensure a high-performing team
- Develop and implement work schedules to meet customer needs and labor budget requirements
- Coach and motivate team members to improve performance and achieve goals
- Participate in performance assessments and employee training to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to loss prevention and health and safety
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a retail environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Basic math skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage inventory and cash handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
