Front Desk Hotel Clerk

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Hotel Clerk to join our team at Wheatland Hotel. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
Key Responsibilities:- Register arriving guests and assign rooms
- Process group arrivals and departures
- Take, cancel and change room reservations
- Provide general information about points of interest in the area
- Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
- Follow emergency and safety procedures
- Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Assist clients/guests with special needs
- Contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Provide customer service
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy
