Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Agriculture Sales Representative to represent Huron Tractor in Middlesex/Elgin/Oxford by promoting sales of new and used equipment to existing customers and identifying potential customers in a defined sales territory.

This position reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for assessing customers' needs and resources, recommending appropriate goods or services, preparing and administering sales contracts, staying current on used equipment values, utilizing sales/marketing software packages, consulting with customers after sale, conducting field demonstrations, and maintaining current knowledge on product features and benefits available for sale.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 2+ years' experience in equipment sales is preferred, but not essential; we will invest in training the right individual;
  • Two years post-secondary education in marketing/agriculture or equivalent relevant work experience;
  • Understanding of the agricultural industry and knowledge of farming and operational practices is preferred;
  • Knowledge in precision agriculture, usage, setup, and optimization would be an asset;
  • Ability to build excellent customer relationships;
  • High energy and a positive attitude;
  • Takes initiative in the work being completed, while being self-motivated and organized;
  • Able to work flexible and extended hours;
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record;
  • Proficient computer and software skills;
