Job Description:
This part-time role as an Education Coordinator at Oxford Learning Kitchener presents an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives while gaining valuable teaching experience.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with centre staff, teachers, parents, and students to create a fun and energetic learning environment that fosters academic growth and self-confidence.
Responsibilities:
Inform inquiring parents about our Oxford Learning programs, highlighting the benefits of our unique approach to education.
Organize schedules for students, staff, and teachers, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient use of resources.
Set up and administer assessments to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
Establish and oversee student learning programs tailored to individual needs, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.
Maintain a strong understanding of the Oxford Learning philosophy and ensure its consistent application throughout the centre.
Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages active participation and engagement from students, staff, and parents alike.
Develop and coach teaching members of the team to master the Oxford Learning Teaching philosophy, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum university degree, preferably with credits in Social Sciences, Languages, Math, and Business.
- Strong secondary school mathematics skills, which are an asset.
- Additional language(s) spoken, which is an asset.
- Experience working in educational environments with medium to large student bodies.
- Work in a business environment, which is an asset.
- Experience with billing cycles required.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and online communication apps.
- Strong phone skills and experience in customer service, with sales experience preferred.
- Training and management experience, which is an asset.
