Aerospace Project Director

As a seasoned Project Director with Pomerleau Construction, you will spearhead ambitious initiatives in meeting and exceeding project goals, execution, and workforce management. Managing large-scale building and infrastructure projects, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities- Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals and vision.
- Support project management teams to develop and drive the construction schedule, ensuring completion dates and milestones are met and/or exceeded.
- Apply problem-solving skills to recommend innovative methods that increase effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring project excellence and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with Pomerleau's Quality Program and apply financial management experience to plan, manage, and respect project budgets, costs, and associated purchasing.
- Act as a mentor and role model to project teams, providing coaching and guidance to help them advance in their careers.
- Minimize project risk through effective risk management and take pride in compiling and completing company-wide project reports for executive teams and client groups.
- Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on the project, effectively applying project-specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau's HS&E standards.
- 8-10+ years of experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- University degree/diploma in Engineering or related field.
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of project management methodologies, financial management, Canadian building codes, and associated legislations.
- Experience in the construction industry with a strong knowledge of project methodologies, financial management, and building codes.
- Strong ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve client, project, and technical issues.
- Previous experience with scheduling software.
- Experience working on a variety of large-scale government projects.
- Fluency in both official languages, written and oral (English and French).
