Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of properties. This includes preparing journal entries, monthly operating costs, and tax recovery estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Management: Manage the full accounting cycle, including preparing journal entries, monthly operating costs, and tax recovery estimates.
  2. Financial Analysis: Review and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, recovery ratios to provide variance analysis.
  3. CAM Audit Support: Prepare final annual operating costs and tax recovery adjustments, including preparing CAM audit statements and assisting with property tax appeals.
  4. Reporting and Compliance: Provide information for audit-related queries and property appraisers and ensure that monthly reporting deadlines are met.
  5. Support to Finance Team: Support our Finance team in the completion of the annual budget and special projects.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in Property Accounting.
  • University degree or college diploma in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
