Clean Harbors, a leading provider of environmental services, seeks an experienced professional to join our team as a Hazardous Waste Management Specialist.

About the Role

As a Hazardous Waste Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling and disposal of hazardous waste at our customer locations. This is a customer-facing position that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restriction notifications.
  • Perform inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
  • Inspect storage areas and drums for leaks or spills.
  • Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
  • Execute jobs at Clean Harbors customer locations, including Fortune 500 companies.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 3 Driver's License.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in environmental services (i.e., remediation, abatement, emergency spill response, etc.).

About the Location

This role is based in Red Deer, AB, and involves working both indoors and outdoors at plants, labs, customer sites, and other locations. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
