Bakery Department Supervisor

As a Bakery Department Supervisor at Fortinos, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Bakery Department. Your primary goal will be to maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales' goals and budgets are met. You will oversee the effective ordering, production, and merchandising of all bakery products, ensuring attractive displays to maintain and increase sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
- Oversee the effective ordering, production, and merchandising of all bakery products.
- Plan daily production sheets to ensure variety in bakery products and effectively prioritize and organize all production and department functions.
- Control inventory through pricing and signage of bakery products to achieve company goals and budget.
- Schedule, direct, supervise, and discipline department staff and train all new employees.
- Be responsible for the opening and/or closing functions of the department.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy.
- Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified baker/decorator, preferably in a retail environment.
- Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is a definite asset.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
