After School Support Worker

The Catholic Independent Schools of the Diocese of Nelson (CISND) is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an After School Support Worker. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and nurturing environment for students after school
  • Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care
  • Assist with daily routines, including homework help and snack time
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Commitment to Catholic education and values
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • First Aid Training Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education training or experience
  • Experience working with children in a school or community setting
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
