Job Title: Produce Clerk
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at Mac Neil's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for maintaining our produce inventory, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unpack and count products received by the store
- Maintain accurate computerized stock inventory
- Stock shelves and display areas to ensure a visually appealing store environment
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and directing customers to the location of articles sought
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors
- Operate electric palette jack to efficiently move products
Work Environment: Our store operates in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and the ability to multitask. As a Produce Clerk, you will be on your feet for most of your shift, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
