We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Produce Clerk to join our team at Mac Neil's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized produce department, ensuring that our customers have access to fresh and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:- Unpack and stock produce shipments, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, including tracking stock levels and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers about our produce offerings.
- Keep the produce department clean and organized, including sweeping and mopping floors, and restocking shelves as needed.
- Operate an electric palette jack to move heavy produce shipments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a retail or produce environment an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
