Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience. As an Associate Physician with BC Cancer, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a municipal pension plan and psychological health & safety programs.

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Physician in Medical Oncology to join our team at BC Cancer-Kelowna. As a member of our team, you will participate exclusively in the care of oncology patients and work collaboratively with other medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services to patients with various types of cancer
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medical oncology
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A medical degree and a minimum of 2 years' training in a postgraduate medical training program
  • Internal medicine/oncology experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Commitment to creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019)
