Our Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine invites qualified applications for multiple Anesthesiologist opportunities in various facilities. Each Calgary Hospital offers unique opportunities as tertiary care centers affiliated with the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine.
Key Highlights:
- Foothills Medical Centre: A 1100-bed care centre providing care to over 2 million people in Calgary and surrounding areas.
- South Health Campus: Providing anesthesia for a range of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, and gynecology/obstetrics.
- Rockyview General Hospital: Providing anesthesia for a range of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, ENT, and general surgery.
- Peter Lougheed Centre: Providing anesthesia for a range of surgical specialties, including vascular, orthopedic, and general surgery.
As a citywide department, there is also an expectation of work at non-hospital surgical facilities, as well as coverage across each of the acute care sites as required by the Section or Zone Clinical Department.
A standard position will be full-time work, negotiable for academic or personal reasons. The successful applicant will join a family-friendly and collegial department who work cooperatively to facilitate work-life balance.
Applicants must be a qualified medical doctor with specialist certification in anesthesiology, eligible for independent practice through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Candidates must read, write, and speak English. The successful Candidate will have their FRCPC in Anesthesia (or equivalent) and demonstrated ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
