Technical Advisor National Retail

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Advisor to join our team in Montreal, Canada. As a Technical Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical service and expertise to our customer partners in National Retail.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing inspirational finished goods and concepts: You will actively seek out customer needs and market trends, and translate these into innovative products. You will work closely with our business development teams to create finished goods, recipes, and concepts that meet our customers' needs.
- Delighting customers: You will provide finished product demonstrations with Puratos products, build close relationships with customers, and organize training sessions. You will also participate in seminars and events to promote our products and services.
- Business development activities: You will promote our focus products according to our Puratos Product Strategy, support industrial manufacturers on production lines, and troubleshoot issues at customer locations.
- Building and sharing knowledge and experience: You will help colleagues and customers build technical knowledge on Puratos products, technologies, and solutions. You will stay up-to-date on new technologies, machinery, and trends, and share your knowledge with other technical advisors.
- New product development and innovations: You will contribute to the development process in close collaboration with our Sales, R&D, and Marketing departments. You will provide technical advice on product characteristics that need to be included in new product development.
- Maintaining the Innovation Center: You will work with our management team to define and execute a strategy for the use of the Montreal Innovation Center. You will assist in maintaining or arranging for maintenance of equipment, purchasing supplies, and recommending new needs for the space.
- Network building: You will build customer knowledge and relationships, develop and maintain a network of schools, machinery manufacturers, retailers, and professional bakery organizations.
Requirements
- A Secondary training and/or education in Bakery/Patisserie/Chocolate
- Hands-on experience in the Bakery/Patisserie/Chocolate sector, within a retail environment
- Language skills: Excellent oral and written English, French is an asset
- Customer-centric approach
- Computer skills and ability to use professional tools (SAP CRM, O365, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of ingredients, processes & equipment and finished goods
- Willing to share knowledge with colleagues and customers
- Collaborative team player: respect others, helpful, open-minded
- Proven planning and organization skills with excellent attention to detail
- Consulting and selling skills
- Ability to find solutions to complex problems
- Flexibility to travel up to 40%
- Strong communication skills and strong influential presenter
- Independent with a commercial approach
