About the Role:
EXP Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Qualified Person to join our team in Brampton, ON. As an Environmental Qualified Person, you will be responsible for various tasks related to environmental site assessment and consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical services primarily focused on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg. 153/04 requirements.
- Provide technical services related to Excess Soil Management to O.Reg. 406/19 requirements.
- Conduct peer reviews of technical documents and reports.
- Design, install, and conduct ongoing maintenance of remediation systems.
- Work with clients, junior staff, and project managers to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in environmental assessments and excess soil.
- P.Eng. or P.Geo license in Ontario and QPESA designation required.
- University degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Geology.
- Highly technical abilities in environmental site assessment and remediation design, combined with a mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of risk assessment/remediation systems/techniques.
- Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04, as amended (including the filing of Record of Site Condition).
- Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19, as amended.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities.
- Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and put forth creative solutions.
