Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our Geriatric Community Mental Health team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, treatment, consultation, and follow-up services to mentally ill elderly clients and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services to elderly clients and their caregivers, including assessment, treatment planning, and interventions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive care and support to clients and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the complex needs of geriatric clients.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers on mental health issues affecting older adults.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress.
  • Provide consultation and support to other healthcare professionals and community agencies on geriatric mental health issues.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a related field.
  • One year of recent experience working with geriatric clients in a psychiatric or community mental health setting.
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association.
  • Valid Class V BC Driver's Licence and possession of a personal vehicle.
