Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Support Specialist to join our team at Bayshore Healthcare.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to work in a fast-paced customer service environment, supporting adults and/or pediatric clients to achieve their maximum potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing rehabilitation programs as directed by healthcare professionals, promoting independence, and facilitating social, educational, and vocational re-integration plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement rehabilitation programs with clients as directed by Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Speech and Language Pathologists.
  • Promote maximum independence of clients in the home, community, and workplace to support re-integration into society.
  • Implement exercise programs or group exercise classes as directed.
  • Facilitate and supervise activities of daily living, along with social, educational/vocational re-integration plans, as directed.
  • Facilitate and implement cognitive therapy programs as directed.
  • Promote and implement leisure activities as directed.
  • Attend case conferences and team meetings as required.
  • Drive clients as directed (with valid insurance coverage).
Education and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have completed a recognized Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Rehabilitation Assistant College Program. A university degree in Kinesiology or possession of a RRP or CCRC designation may also be considered.

In addition to your education, you must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team. Proficiency with personal computers and secure email is also essential.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, we provide opportunities for ongoing professional development and growth within our organization.
