Job Title: Delivery Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Red River Carpet & Flooring. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to our customers and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Accept payment or invoices for items delivered.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Keep a record of items received and delivered.
  • Prepare, package, and restock goods.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Sort packages for delivery.
  • Follow directions and read maps.
  • Use maps and other trip planning aids.
  • Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems.
  • Pay and receive payments for goods.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Local and provincial/territorial transportation experience.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical demands of the job include handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Cellular phone for communication.
