Job Title: Truss Fabricator

Job Summary:
Timber-Tech Truss LP is seeking a skilled Truss Fabricator to join their team in Lethbridge. As a Truss Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling and pressing trusses to meet the expected quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Quality Control and Health & Safety Program.
  • Work safely and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions or situations.
  • Build trusses that meet the expected quality standards.
  • Follow company Health and Safety and Quality policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Interpret shop drawings for overall truss dimensions and joint placement.
  • Participate in setting or jigging trusses.
  • Move materials to the assembly-production area.
  • Insert and clamp chords and webs to tables.
  • Ensure all joints are tight.
  • Position and secure connector plates on the top and bottom of all joints as shown on the shop drawing.
  • Ensure connector plates are of the correct size and type and are positioned as specified on the shop drawing.
  • Participate in the operation of the press when pressing connector plates.
  • Participate in removing trusses from the jig and transferring them to the exit conveyor.
  • Participate in marking each truss as per the shop drawings.
  • Participate in scheduled area inspections using inspection checklist forms.
