Truss Builder/Fabricator Job Description

Timber-Tech is seeking a skilled Truss Builder/Fabricator to join their team in Lethbridge. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package is available after a successful probation period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Quality Control and Health & Safety Programs to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Work safely and maintain a clean work area, reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Build trusses that meet quality standards, following company policies and procedures.
  • Interpret shop drawings to ensure accurate truss dimensions and joint placement.
  • Participate in setting or jigging trusses, moving materials to the assembly area, and inserting chords and webs.
  • Secure connector plates and assure tight joints, following shop drawings and company instructions.
  • Operate the press when pressing connector plates and remove trusses from the jig for transfer to the exit conveyor.
  • Mark each truss according to shop drawings and participate in scheduled area inspections using inspection checklist forms.

Reports to: Lead Hand

Working Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
