Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Ergotherapist to join our Mental Health Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients' functional abilities, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing occupational therapy services to promote optimal autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams
- Provide occupational therapy services to promote optimal autonomy, including activities of daily living, work-related skills, and leisure activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress
- Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Membership in the Order of Occupational Therapists of Quebec
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
