Job Summary

Go Pro Restoration Inc is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable structure.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks. You will be required to bend, crouch, kneel, and work in dusty and noisy conditions.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling capacity.
