Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team at our Southbridge Care Homes location in Cornwall, Ontario. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our residents, enhancing their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents and their families, including palliative care and end-of-life support.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in care planning and delivery.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment that promotes resident-centered care.

Requirements:

  • PSW Program Certificate or diploma that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Career Colleges, or the Ontario Community Support Association.
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting, preferably in a Personal Support Worker role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to resident-centered care.
